Are you concerned about maintaining your faith in the midst of your current struggle?
I can definitely relate as I have been there before myself. We start to question why we should keep praying and why we should continue to have faith when what we’re praying for never seems to happen, or what we’re praying about simply remains unchanged. Some people think well she’s a Christian, she’s got her stuff together, but most of the time many of us don’t let people in to begin with so often times people truly have no clue what’s really going on, even though they think they might.
You may need healing for your body, healing for your mind, a breakthrough in your finances or even deliverance in an area of your life where the enemy has held you captive. You’re not alone. I’ve experienced each of these at some point in my life, and while God might not do what you what you want him to do when you want him to do it, he is always right on time.

So the question is, how do you keep going when it seems like the solution to your problem is nowhere in sight? I’m going to share with you a few things I’ve learned over the years to keep me close to the Lord even in what seems like the darkest of times.
Don’t Give Up!
This is always the first thing I tell people. Just because things don’t seem to be going your way right now, doesn’t mean that they never will. You have to continue pushing forward. Refusing to give up will bring you strength and hope that you never felt like you had. God’s promise to you outweighs any circumstance you could possibly be going through!
Try and fill your heart and mind with things that strengthen your faith. This could be attending church, reading through the scriptures, meditate, or even have bible study at church or with another group. Often times I thank God for what he’s done in my life, even before it has actually happened because I know he’ll do it. Don’t let negativity and discouragement settle in!
Remember That Everyday Is A New Day
Each day provides a fresh start. I always try to remember to start the day by thanking God for even waking me up in the morning because there are so many people that fall asleep and don’t wake up, so I’m thankful for everyday that I am able to do so. It’s a choice to believe and I choose to believe in the goodness of God. I thank him everyday for allowing me to be able to accomplish all of the goals that I’ve accomplished in life this far. I always pray that he continues to bless me, my family and friends. God’s word is bigger than anything you are going through.
God Is Always With You
Sometimes this one can be hard to remember because when times get tough, we always feel like we’re going through everything on our own. It’s important to remember you are not alone. Deuteronomy 31:6 says “be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” It’s also important to realize that you’re not the only person going through whatever is troubling you. You may feel alone in that moment, but there are others battling the same struggle as you, so maybe it’s your testimony they need to hear to help them lean on God and push through as well.
Be Mindful Of Your Thoughts & Your Words
This is a huge one! It’s one of the most important things to remember, because this one alone could provide the breakthough you need. You have to keep your thoughts in line with what God has to say about your situation. When you can frame your way of thinking, your words will follow the same lead. It’s important to renew your mind.
In summary, it’s important to remember that our God is a faithful God. He teaches us lessons, but he will answer. Keep God at the forefront of your life. Sometimes he may put us at our lowest point just so we remember that he’s still in charge. When God does answer, you will have a testimony that can be shared with others to show them the greatness that he truly does possess!
